The Socialists fell slightly and would obtain a vote estimate of 28.5 points compared to the 22.1 that the popular would achieve, according to the CIS
The PP regains ground and is placed 6.4 points behind the PSOE in voting intention, according to the CIS barometer known this Friday. The popular ones cut the distance with the Socialists by 2.6 points compared to September, where the public body had given them an advantage of 9 points but they remain in the lead with 28.5% of vote intention compared to 22.1% of those of Pablo Casado.
Vox remains in third position, with 13.2%, 0.6 less than in September, moving away from the PP two points with respect to these data. United Podemos is placed in fourth place, reaching 11.8, 0.5 points more. Citizens obtained 6.5% in vote estimation, half a point less than the last time.
According to these data, if the elections were held today, the sum of PP and Vox (35.2%) would continue to be insufficient compared to a left-wing coalition (40.3%). Something that the sum of the formation chaired by Inés Arrimadas would end up tilting the balance towards the right-wing bloc (41.2%).
The field work of the study was carried out between October 1 and 13, coinciding with the celebration of the National Convention of the PP and under the effects of the announcement of the agreement within the coalition Government on Budgets and the future law of Housing that will regulate the price of rents and the brief detention of former Catalan president Carles Puigdemont in Italy.
It is also the first barometer carried out after the indictment of its director José Félix Tezanos for an alleged crime of embezzlement of public funds. The complaint, filed by Vox, maintains that the operation of the CIS is “irregular” since Tezanos was appointed president of the organization in June 2018. Since then all the polls always give the electoral victory to the PSOE. A manipulation of the data in the eyes of the opposition to benefit the socialists against the advance of the right.
