CF Montreal and Inter Miami will face each other this weekend in a match corresponding to the 2024 Major League Soccer (MLS) season. The Herons are in first position in the Eastern Conference, while the Canadian team is in eleventh position.

The team led by Gerardo Martino is having a great performance this semester in the American league and will seek to continue their good streak against Montreal. Below we tell you how Inter Miami would line up for this commitment:

Goalkeeper: Drake Callender – The American goalkeeper is fully trusted by Martino. He has two clean sheets this season.

Right back: Marcelo Weigandt – After the sale of Yedlin, Miami needed a right winger. Weigandt has received the opportunity and has not wasted it.

Central defense: Nicolás Freire – Martino has opted for a defense completely made up of Argentine players. Freire won the position over Seriy Kryvtsov.

Central defense: Tomás Avilés – Despite being one of the youngest elements of the squad, Avilés is an essential player for ‘Tata’ and he is destined to have a great career.

Left back: Franco Negri – In the absence of Jorde Alba, Negri has taken his position. He has five games this season and one assist.

Inside Right: Julian Gressel – The American/German soccer player performs in any position Martino places him. Where he has been seen best, precisely, is in the middle of the field.

Central midfielder: Sergio Busquets – The Spanish midfielder is in charge of giving balance to Inter Miami. He obviously no longer has the physique and level of wear and tear of yesteryear, but he makes up for it with experience.

Inside left: David Ruiz – The young Honduran is one of ‘Tata’ Martino’s bets this season. He has played a total of eleven games in MLS this season and has two assists to his name.

Left winger: Lionel Messi – The Argentine star is having a great campaign in the MLS and is breaking all records. Messi has 10 goals and nine assists in 10 games.
