The Police notice after removing 2,000 products from sale in Benidorm: “They may contain harmful substances”

The Local Police of Benidorm has launched a notice through its social networks after the “serious irregularities” detected in an establishment in the Alicante town.

During an inspection, the municipal body discovered that the premises had for sale 2,000 vapeselectronic cigarettes with different flavors that have achieved great popularity, especially among young people.

A product that must be marketed in accordance with the guidelines of the law on health measures against smoking. By not complying with the regulations, the agents removed and intervened the articles illegally marketed.

“These products are not a toy,” they remind the Local Police. “They may contain substances harmful such as diacetyl, nicotine, formaldehyde and its use can cause lung, heart, or even cancer,” they warn.

For this reason, they ask users to make sure that the ‘vapers’ they buy, in authorized establishments, have passed the mandatory controls and meet all health requirements.
