The Pension Fund of Russia (PFR) from Monday, August 2, began to pay a lump sum of 10 thousand rubles to parents of schoolchildren by the beginning of the school year.
Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to start such payments from August 2 at the end of July.
Payments on Monday will be made for 17 million children who are already in school or will go to school next year, provided that they will be 6 years old by September 1 of this year, specifies “Russian newspaper“With reference to the press service of the Ministry of Labor.
As of July 29, the department received more than 12.7 applications from parents who applied for payments for a total of 17.5 million children. At the same time, the FIU assured that most parents will receive payments in August, before the start of the school year.
On July 28, the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Russia, Anton Kotyakov, reported that in total, families with over 20 million school-age children would be covered by a lump-sum payment. According to him, the funds for payment in full have been brought to the Pension Fund of Russia, they amount to 204 billion rubles.
As previously reminded by the Russian government, parents, adoptive parents, trustees and guardians, in whose families children from 6 to 18 years old, have the right to receive money.
On May 3, Putin ordered to pay 10 thousand rubles for each student in August. The Russian leader clarified that the parents will receive the payment in mid-August so that there is enough time to get the child to school.
