The Pension Fund of Russia (PFR) explained the procedure for early retirement in the transition period.
As reported in the press service of the Pension Fund of Russia, for many Russians the retirement age has not increased. In particular, this applies to those who work in enterprises with harmful and dangerous working conditions: miners, miners, rescuers and public transport drivers. Most of these spheres retire at age 50 or 55, depending on gender.
Educators, doctors and representatives of some creative professions still have the right to early retirement with seniority. Thus, a school teacher who has developed the necessary teaching experience in April 2021 will be able to retire in April 2024 in accordance with the transition period.
It is also noted that there is still the possibility of retirement five years earlier than the general retirement age for residents of the North. In the Far North, the minimum work experience is 15 calendar years, and in equivalent areas – 20 years.
The Pension Fund added that in order to receive a pension, it is necessary to develop minimum pension coefficients and length of service (until the end of 2021 – 12 years and 21 coefficients, respectively). For one year of work, one year of experience and up to ten coefficients are taken into account.
So, taking into account the transitional period, women can start receiving pensions at 56.5 years, and men at 61.5 years.
