Culiacán Sinaloa, June 28, 2022. Today, the Parliamentary Group of the Sinaloa Party presented to the Official Office of Parties of this H. Congress the initiative of law called: Initiative of Decree by which the Free Hearing Aid Law in the state of Sinaloa.
The objective of this proposal is to establish the duty of the municipalities to implement a program financed by an item contemplated in their expenditure budgets, in a clear support for people who suffer from the disability of being deafblindstated the deputy Elizabeth Chía Galaviz.
Deafblindness is a disability suffered by a percentage of the world’s population, which consists of a condition that severely affects both the vision and hearing of those who suffer from it and that generally considerably limits their lives.
In the 2020 population census carried out by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI), it reflects that the 16.5 percent of the population in our country are People with disabilitiesthat is, more than 20 million people have a disability; limitation in daily activity or with some unwanted mental condition.
“Yesterday, the International Day of Deafblind People was celebrated with the aim of raising awareness of people around the world who have this physical disability, and sensitizing the rest of the population to offer their help, and thus, collaborate to have greater autonomy and improve their quality of life. As president of the Human Rights Commission of this Congress, it is important to point out that, like all of us, they have basic needs to have a better quality of life,” said deputy Elizabeth Chía Galaviz.
He also pointed out that for Sinaloa Party It is a pride to have incorporated people with visual and hearing disabilities into their group of advisors, because with them they have learned to work and walk to have a better Sinaloa.
