The governor of the state, Ruben Rocha Moya, and the federal representative elected for the 07th district, Merary Villegas, seem to have “buried the hatchet” and between them there is now a diplomatic understanding to move forward in the Congress of the Union, the legislative issues that need Sinaloa. The same Sinaloa government released a photograph yesterday afternoon in which both politicians are seen in a fraternal embrace inside the government offices. Hours before, the same governor had warned “what I had to say, I already said it,” to later recognize Merry Villegas as a valuable founding activist of Morena in Sinaloa.
What the renewed agreement between Merry Villegas and the governor of the state is if she goes for the state leadership of Brunette. And the issue that unleashed the governor’s criticism of the deputy is the possibility of her returning to the state leadership of Morena in Sinaloa. Yesterday, the governor distanced himself from the issue before reporters by warning that it was not his interference to clarify the controversy, since he is not a councilor of Brunette. Merary also did not want to clarify the possible aspiration.
The renewed diplomatic treatment of the governor of Sinaloa towards the re-elected federal representative also does not clarify what will happen in the case of the local legislator for Morena Victoria Sánchez (Merary’s mother Villegas), who championed the Labor Party in the recent elections for the municipal presidency of Culiacan. And the case was also aired by the governor as a violation of Morena’s internal statutes, something that the Honor Committee of that party must address.
Panism in Culiacan is mourning the death of Ignacio Niebla Aispuro. Yesterday, a tribute was paid to him with a body present within the facilities of the party that he had to lead in some of the most intense episodes in the political history of Sinaloa. There, his fellow militants gave him an honor guard and some speeches were heard highlighting the values that Nacho Niebla Aispuro always demonstrated as leader of the blue and white team and his attachment to the ethical and political philosophy of the National Action Party.
After the elections, the castling of commands has already begun and names are beginning to be shuffled to join the government cabinets. Yesterday, the state governor, Rubén Rocha Moya, supported the possibility that Julio Berdegué Sacristán from Sinaloa could direct the Ministry of Agriculture with Claudia Sheinbaum, Well, Sinaloa would do very well, he said.
It was also confirmed that the former Secretary of Public Security in Sinaloa Cristóbal Castañeda Camarillo is the new Secretary of Citizen Security of the State of Mexico. This confirms that the governments of the 4T hold in good esteem the potential civil servants who have developed in Sinaloa. We will have to wait and see what other names of the entity appear in the organization of the new governments.
