Within the framework of the activities called Pride Month, which the activists of the Sinaloa Diverso Association carried out for a whole week, on Thursday, June 16, they inaugurated their exhibition, Art with pride, at Casa Haas.
The mayor of Mazatlán, Luis Guillermo Benítez, and the director of the Institute of Culture, Tourism and Art, José Ángel Tostado, participated in the ribbon cutting. The exhibition Art with pride is an exhibition that reflects the union of colors, expressions, feelings, identities, freedom and love, made up of 14 paintings, three sculptures, a digital piece and an installation.
In it, 12 artists combined their talent to show through the visual arts, their greatest passions. The theme of the exhibition was free, however, it was possible to appreciate that freedom and respect that members of the LGBT community seek so much among human beings. Choreography.
The public that came that afternoon to admire each of the paintings was particularly interested in the installation work called Diversity, which was carried out by Írving Campos, in which he captured the representation of the different situations to which the human being, member or no, from the LGBTTTQ+ community it faces. As part of the exhibition, a choreography called Alunizaje, created by Luis Donaldo Burgoa, was also offered. Art with pride will be on display throughout the month of June at Casa Haas and today the activists will celebrate their march to celebrate International LGBT Pride Day.
