The spokeswoman of the Government of Castilla-La Mancha, Esther Padilla, has advanced that the Governing Council will hold this Friday an extraordinary meeting to approve the Presentation of a resource before the Constitutional Court against the distribution of the bank tax, after having met on Thursday the “overwhelming” Opinion of the Advisory Council.
In an interview in Onda Zero in Toledo, Padilla has assured that the opinion of the Advisory Council on the distribution of the bank tax coincides with that of the legal services of the Board, which consider that the approved text is “unconstitutional”.
The spokesman of the government of Emiliano García-Page He explained that his opinion is “very blunt”, both in the form and in the background. “What comes to say is that you cannot make a decision of something that affects the Financing of Autonomous Communities Without passing through the Autonomous Communities and the modification the Organic Law on Financing of the Autonomous Communities, “said the spokesperson.
And he added: “They do it through one amendment in another law. Therefore, for that part it would already be appealed.” In addition, he said that he also considers that he is “Against the principle of solidarity” which establishes the Spanish Constitution.
In this sense, he pointed out that the distribution that has been approved, “Tax for Junts”is based on the fact that the richest autonomous community receives more money from that collection of the bank tax, when “the logical” is that it is distributed among the autonomous communities “depending on what they need most”.
