The head of the board of directors of the SDS-Ugol holding Mikhail Fedyaev and the general director of the company Gennady Alekseev announced to Russian President Vladimir Putin their readiness to be punished for the accident at the Listvyazhnaya mine in Kemerovo. About it informs RBC.
After the president asked whether the board of directors was monitoring the security sector, Fedyaev replied that the company did not save on protective equipment.
“It turns out that the human factor canceled all this out. I am ready to bear any responsibility, ”he said.
In turn, Alekseev said that the official reports of the enterprise contained seeming stability. He also stated that he apologizes and is ready to be punished.
Earlier, Putin pointed to the blame on the part of the management of the mine for the death of employees. According to him, the lack of control was the cause of the tragedy.
A methane explosion at the Listvyazhnaya mine in the Kemerovo Region took place on the morning of November 25. As a result of the emergency, 51 people died, including rescuers. According to the latest data, 99 people were injured. On December 2, prospecting work was resumed at the mine, which was suspended due to the difficult gas situation.
