The Potable Water and Sewage Board of the Municipality of Ahome launched a discount program for those in default on the service so that they can catch up on their payments.
This is the 100 percent discount on fines and surcharges, while the 20 percent remission on the main debt.
The announcement was made by the mayor Gerardo Vargas Landeros and the general manager of the paramunicipal, Raúl Pérez, who indicated that the support expires on March 31.
The decision is correct for many reasons, above all because it will allow oxygenation of the problem accumulated over many years and that has thousands of Ahomean families in suspense. This opens the opportunity for debtors to catch up and in the process help the Japama to capitalize in order to improve the service.
However, some noted that the term of the program is very short. Many were caught “off base”, they were not prepared to join the program.

It is recommended that they appear at the Japama and raise their situation so that in one way or another they are on track to pay the historical debt and now be up to date with the payment of the service.
