Gladkov: 12 civilians injured in shelling of Belgorod village Cheremoshnoye
The village of Cheremoshnoye in the Belgorod district came under fire from the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). How reports In a Telegram channel, the governor of the Russian region Vyacheslav Gladkov said that the number of civilians injured in the attack increased from 10 to 12.
Gladkov noted that the seven people who were wounded were self-defense fighters. They were helping to restore electricity in border villages when the Ukrainian Armed Forces attack began. Among the injured is also the head of the Yasnozorensky rural settlement, Dmitry Pankov.
Three of the wounded are in the operating room, the rest are undergoing examination: they also require surgical intervention. According to Gladkov, the number of victims was initially estimated at ten people, but then two more men came to the hospital on their own. One with multiple shrapnel wounds was placed in the trauma department, the other refused hospitalization.
“A real feat of our self-defense, who after work put on a bulletproof vest and helmet to help people; a feat of our power engineers, who risk their lives so that there is light in their homes; a feat of ordinary caring residents who simply came out to help. Because who, if not them,” Gladkov said. The governor promised to present all the victims with state awards.
Over the territory of Russia, air defense systems shot down 15 Ukrainian drones on the night of September 22. Most of the devices were destroyed over the waters of the Sea of Azov.
