The number of victims in a collision of two trams in Kemerovo has increased to 51 people, it was reported Telegram-channel “112” with a link to its source.
It is clarified that passengers had to be removed from the crumpled vehicle through the windows. The preliminary cause of the accident is a brake failure on one of the trams.
Earlier, the Directorate of the Investigative Committee for Kuzbass reported that the number of people injured in the tram collision on Logovaya Highway in the city of Kemerovo was about 30 people, and they were provided with medical assistance. A criminal case has been opened and the circumstances of the incident are being investigated.
