The nightmare of a draw in the Senate, the growth of the M5S worries Fdi
“Something doesn’t add up”: with these words Giorgia Meloni confessed her fears for a possible draw in the Senate due to the growth of the M5S in the South.
To reveal it is a background of The Republicaccording to which the leader of Fdi, during the rally of the center-right in Piazza del Popolo for the closing of the electoral campaign, confessed to Francesco Lollobrigida, Guido Crosetto and Fabio Rampelli: “Something is not right, if we skid at the last bend we risk the mockery, we cannot afford a draw in the Senate ”.
Not surprisingly, on stage, Giorgia Meloni raised the alarm in the mess, stating: “They are ready to redo mess up again, declare alliances before the vote”.
The fear of Fratelli d’Italia is that a good result of the 5 Star Movement, which before the stop to the polls was given a strong comeback especially in the South, could call into question the victory of the center-right in the single-member colleges, especially in Puglia, Campania, Sardinia and Sicily.
In doing so, the center-right would win the elections but in Palazzo Madama the majority would stop at 102-103 senators, out of a total of 200 parliamentarians who make up the Senate.
The government would have the numbers to be born, but, at the same time, it would be an executive in the balance, forced to rely on the decisive votes of the centrists of Toti, Lupi and Brugnaro.
