The new top prosecutor of Cantabria, Jesús Dacio Arteaga, will take office on October 29, in a event that will take place from 12:30 p.m. at the Palace of Justice of Las Salesas, in Santander, the public ministry reported this Friday.
The inauguration, in the assembly hall, will be attended by Attorney General of the State, Álvaro García Ortizas confirmed by the Prosecutor’s Office Europa Press.

Jesús Dacio Arteaga Quintana (Madrid, 1964), who He applied for the position with Carlos Yáñezsenior prosecutor of Torrelavega, has three decades of experience. He entered the tax career in 1992 and was stationed in Granada and Barcelona, specifically in Granollers, Vilafranca del Penedés and Gavá.

In this sense, he foresees a “radical change” and further promoting areas such as gender violence, which is “very well attended to” but in his opinion requires “a twist”, with a specific group. He also wants to create a service dedicated to economic crime and corruption and try to get specialists to focus even more on their areas.
It also advocates for education to eradicate violence, both sexual and against minors, or for the unification of the judicial headquarters in Santander in a single building.
