Pompeo, in a conversation with pranksters, called for Russia to be returned to the European economy
After the completion of the special military operation (SVO) in Ukraine, Russia must be returned to the European economic model in order to prevent its rapprochement with the Asian economy. The former head of the CIA and former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said this in a conversation with Russian pranksters Vovan (Vladimir Kuznetsov) and Lexus (Alexei Stolyarov).
This means that we need to return the Russians to the European, not the Asian model. If this war stopped, we would start to take back Russia and convince them that they are in a better position with us than with China
According to him, an important part of the future plan is Ukraine’s membership in the European Union (EU). The official expressed confidence that after this Russia will also want to become part of the Western trading system.

The US is concerned about ties between Russia and China
Washington and its allies are seriously concerned about increasing cooperation between Russia and China. This was previously reported by Kenya’s ex-permanent representative to the UN and head of the Center for International Cooperation at New York University Martin Kimani.
US influence is waning, and it is waning fast. There are rising powers that want to gain a stronger foothold in the multilateral space, from China to others, and the Global South increasingly has a voice
He emphasized that the weakening of Western policy is visible in the inability of the United States and its allies to resolve the issue with the Yemeni Houthis and military bases in Africa. At the same time, the influence of Moscow and Beijing in these areas is growing, and the authority of these powers among other states is only becoming higher.
The EU intends to approve a new sanctions regime against Russia
The permanent representatives of the EU countries plan to approve a new sanctions regime against Russia. A corresponding decision will be made at the meeting of permanent representatives, which will be held on October 2.
The authors of the initiative for a new sanctions regime announced Moscow’s “destabilizing” actions abroad. They plan to refine existing restrictions against the Russian Federation, as well as revise the criteria for adding individuals and legal entities to blacklists.
At the end of June 2024, information appeared about the EU’s desire to introduce a new sanctions regime against Moscow. The call of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to Western countries to increase pressure on Russia played a certain role in this. In his opinion, the current pressure on Moscow is clearly not enough, since the country’s economy has not yet broken down under the pressure of the imposed sanctions.
