Samsung kicked off today the new chapter in the evolution of its folding smartphones by presenting Galaxy Z Fold3 5G And Galaxy Z Flip3 5G, third generation of this kind of devices that now integrate important improvements requested by users related to resistance and performance.
Z Fold3 is the device designed for multitasking and features a 7.6-inch seamless Infinity Flex display. Important news is that of the introduction of the support for the S Pen, for the first time compatible with a folding device. Z Flip3, on the other hand, it is more dedicated to a target that seeks design and practicality: it is compact and pocket-sized, combined with improved photographic features and a larger external display, designed for use on the move.
Also, for the first time in the history of folding smartphones, Z Fold3 and Z Flip3 boast Ipx8 water resistance certification and are made of Armor Aluminum, the strongest aluminum ever used on a Galaxy smartphone, paired with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. Both devices are equipped with a new protective film made of stretch Pet that optimizes the performance of the screen and makes it 80% more resistant than the previous ones. As for the opening mechanism, Z Fold3 and Z Flip3 have passed a strict quality test, certified by Bureau Veritas, which guarantees resistance to 200,000 closures.
The two Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip3 smartphones will be available for pre-order in Italy starting today, 11 August, and will be available from 27 August, at prices starting, respectively, from 1,849 euros and 1099 euros. Pre-ordering Galaxy Z Fold3 5G between 11 and 26 August will include 1 year of ‘Samsung Care +’ service, 100 euros of immediate value, up to 450 euros of second-hand valuation and the Note Pack which includes Flip Cover, S Pen and 25W adapter.
