The musician, diyey and producer of British origin Dave Watts, member of the Anglo-Pakistani group Fun-Da-Mental, died this Sunday in Tenerife, the island where he lived with his family and from where he worked as a musical creator and artist.
The family has already communicated this loss to their friends with a written message and disseminated through social channels. In that note, his wife, Beatriz López, states that “life always leaves us unavoidable options of having to convey to others the saddest and most painful news, but as real as our own existence that allows itself to be accompanied by the daily heartbeat. Today [este domingo]not long ago, Dave, Dave Watts, D. WattsRiot, KingLMan or the member of Fun-Da-Mental has left us. He said goodbye, surely before the countdown.”
In the same personal notice, it is indicated that “it does not matter how they have known him throughout his life, he was always overflowing with courage, music, energy, kindness and love, because he was always, and always is always, united with the best causes. (…) His life has ended sooner than we would have liked, but all we have to do now is accept the hard ordeal and contribute from now on, with strength and judgment, to maintain all his goodness, all his art and his musical legacy, and mainly the lit flame of his affection.”
Dave Watts’ body already rests in the Mother of the Redeemer Shelter, in El Sauzal, “before his tour to the universe, where he will share all that music that he has in his head and heart with all those who preceded him.”
The family also informs that the exit mass will take place this Monday, October 28, 2024, at 12:00, in the church of San Pedro in the same municipality.
