The Murcian giant AM Fresh closed this week an agreement to expand its influence in Asia after acquiring a majority stake, 51%, in Fruit-X. The company’s objective is to increase its relevance in a continent, Asia, with a high number of potential clients. In fact, the company has proposed to secure 500 million consumers in the coming years.
In addition, as reported by the company in a statement, they seek to develop varietal innovation and redefine the sector of agricultural products in Asia. The Fruit-X company will be renamed Fresh Fruit-X, to reflect its incorporation into the AM Fresh group.
With this move, the company hopes to combine AM Fresh’s expertise with the team of experts in the booming market in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Myanmar, Vietnam, the Philippines, Hong Kong and the Middle East.
