Four days after the 54th International Festival of Folklore in the Mediterranean began, Murcia yesterday said goodbye to the ten participating groups, who mobilized some 300 people to show their most traditional dances. On the stage set up in the Plaza del Cardenal Belluga, and with the imafrotne of the Cathedral as the stage last night, the groups Danzar de Colombia, Netos de Bandim de Guinea-Bissau, Choirs and Dances Virgin of the Dangers of the rock and huertana L’Artesa de Aljucer, Choirs and Dances Villa de Madridejos, Cacereña Association El Redoble and Choirs and Dances of the Francisco Salzillo Regional Association of Murcia.
A dedicated audience enjoyed the dances displayed by the groups, as well as their colorful and showy costumes. The mayor of Murcia, José Antonio Serrano, and other members of the Corporation attended the farewell. The oldest folklore festival in Spain returned to Murcia after two years of pandemic and the City Council is already preparing for the next edition.
