His Eminence Sheikh Abu Bakr Ahmed, Mufti of India, President of the Sheikh Zayed International Peace Conference, offered his sincere condolences and sincere sympathy on the death of Sheikh Tahnoun bin Muhammad Al Nahyan, may God have mercy on him, one of the men of the United Arab Emirates, and one of the honorable and loyal people that the country has produced. His Eminence said in His word: “With hearts that believe in God’s will and destiny, we extend our sincere condolences and sincere sympathy to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, and to the rulers of the Emirates, its brotherly people, and the families of the deceased, on the death of Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, may God have mercy on him. He left an immortal imprint of love and loyalty, and loved charitable and humanitarian work throughout his life. We ask God Almighty to cover him with His vast mercy, forgiveness, and satisfaction, and to dwell him in His spacious gardens, and to inspire his family and relatives with patience and solace.”
His Eminence added: “The deceased, may God have mercy on him, was one of the men who made great contributions to building the modern UAE, along with the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul. I had a strong and established relationship with the deceased, and during our meeting he exchanged with me his thoughts and opinions about the historical relations between the UAE and the Republic of India, expressing his thanks to the members of the Indian community residing in the country, praising their efforts, dedication and sincerity in contributing to the cultural renaissance that the country has achieved in the past decades. . The deceased, may God have mercy on him, was concerned with the affairs of the weak and those with needs, responded to their requests, and had generous hands in helping them and providing urgent aid to them.
His Eminence asked the administration of mosques, schools, and the Islamic University to perform absentee prayers and pray for the great deceased, adding that the people of the Emirates, and especially the rulers of the Emirates, have made great contributions to establishing schools and universities, and activating charitable and humanitarian work around the world.
