The Councilor for Security, José Luis Ruiz, told LA VERDAD that the Moroccan population residing in Lorca is coming to this meeting point and that the president of Entidades Islámicas del Guadalentín, Said El Yaziji collaborated in organizing the celebration so that “everything runs normally” and in an orderly manner.

Dozens of National and Local Police agents traveled to the San Diego park who also monitored the accesses to the San Cristóbal and San Diego neighborhoods through the old bridge and the Juan Carlos I bridge to control the flow of fans and that “there are no provocations » by neither of them.

The celebrations extend throughout the Region

The town of Torre Pacheco, where there is a significant Moroccan population, was also the scene of revelry and festivities for the residents who came out to celebrate their team’s passage to the quarterfinals, touring the streets and squares both on foot and by car. , while the sound of the horns and the songs of joy followed one another.

Other urban centers such as Beniel, the San Antón neighborhood in Cartagena, or the San Andrés neighborhood in Murcia, also hosted the celebration, with caravans of cars waving the Moroccan flag.
