The evolution of the digital age does not stop, because the web is a world in constant expansion. The latest news are NFTs, an acronym for non fungible tokens. What are? The answer to a question that has become central in recent years: how to sign, authenticate and exchange digital content in a safe, rapid and shared way?
Made possible by blockchain, the “nifties” – as they have also been renamed – are cryptographic tokens that allow you to uniquely purchase and identify any type of media, from an image to a song, from a work of art to a video.
Non-fungible tokens are used to create verifiable digital scarcity, unique digital items such as crypt art, digital collectibles, exchangeable and salable in the digital art market.
They are the new frontier of author collecting due to their ability to provide proof of authenticity and ownership of the digital work.
This intangible but very powerful technological tool, which today is experiencing an extraordinary expansion, meets the excellence of auteur sports photography thanks to “The Mirco Lazzari Collection”, the project that unites Mirco Lazzari, Stargraph and RTR Sports Marketing.
From 15 July the first NFTs that the Imola-based photographer wanted to publish in this innovative and compelling format will be available on the Stargraph website (https://nft.stargraph.it/brand/mirco-lazzari).
Some particular shots will thus become collections, with a limited edition of a few specimens, and will collect the best of the world of motorsport, from MotoGP to Formula 1, passing through rally and World Superbike and much more going to compose an unprecedented collection, very precious and capable of combine the emotion of art with the extraordinary sporting passion, with the new powerful technologies available today.
It is the first time, in our country, that photography, sport and the digital world meet in this way: Mirco Lazzari’s NFTs are not simply a look towards the future, but rather a concrete tool with which we want to cement, today, a form of expression and communication ever so important.
Mirco Lazzari has been enchanting and narrating the world of the slopes through his lens since 1989. His is an always fresh, different gaze, which aims at a narration that is more poetry than a simple story. His unmistakable style earned him several international awards and accolades in the top two and four-wheel series as well as the role of ambassador in the sports sector for Nikon.
It is RTR Sports Marketing and its founder Riccardo Tafà who imagine the union of Lazzari’s spectacular images with the idea of Non Fungible Token: an arc that can only be closed with a partner of great experience and creativity in the world of the web and digital marketing.
