The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs has developed a bill to abolish temporary residence permits in the country. This is reported in the document on the official website departments.
“It is proposed to refuse a permit for temporary residence in the Russian Federation,” reads the explanatory note to the bill.
According to the portal, the Ministry of Internal Affairs proposes to make three migration regimes of stay in Russia. Among them – the regime of short-term stay – no more than 90 days during the year, the regime of long-term stay – more than 90 days, without obtaining a permanent residence permit and the regime of permanent residence, which will operate indefinitely.
The department also considers it necessary to create a register of unscrupulous inviting persons – individuals and legal entities – who violate the rules for inviting and registering migrants in Russia.
Earlier it was reported that migrants staying in Russia will be required to receive a single document with an electronic carrier, which will serve as an identity card within the country. The document will be valid for ten years, then it will need to be replaced. In addition, it will be necessary to replace it in the event of a change of surname, first name, patronymic, date of birth, gender in case of loss of citizenship.
