The Ministry of Energy of Russia will complete the preparation of the Far East for winter on time, there will be no serious power outages in the region. Such a statement on September 6 was made by the head of the Ministry of Energy Nikolai Shulginov.
“We are preparing, we are doing everything possible to ensure that repairs and all planned activities are completed on time. We must get through this winter without serious power outages,” Shulginov said in an interview with TASS.
At the same time, the minister noted that the agency will not be able to guarantee the operation of the grid complex if it experiences abnormal loads, in particular, due to hurricane winds or in conditions of off-design ice formation.
In the same conversation, Shulginov stressed that the situation around the Sakhalin-1 oil and gas project would soon clear up, and its work would resume. Similar problems are not expected with Sakhalin-2, as its stable operation became possible due to the participation of several companies operating the project and the creation of a new operator.
On July 8, the participants of the Innoprom-2022 exhibition discussed the development of local energy in the Far East and the Arctic. The speakers noted the importance of creating a full cycle of production of generating equipment to ensure the technological sovereignty of Russia in the new economic conditions.
On June 7, Rosseti announced the start of construction of infrastructure for connecting the Amur Gas Chemical Complex, the largest enterprise in the Svobodny priority development area, the largest in terms of capitalization in the Far East, to the main networks.
On April 18, the Russian government decided to expand the program to support private investment in the Arctic and the Far East. In addition, an industrial mortgage program at 5% will be launched in autumn.
