The Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation approved a list of 195 specialties, for whose representatives a deferment from partial mobilization is recommended. The corresponding order was signed on Monday, September 26.
“I order: to approve the recommended list of priority specialties and areas of higher education training to meet the basic needs of accredited organizations operating in the field of information technology, telecom operators in qualified personnel,” the statement says. document.
There are clarifications regarding the education that specialized specialists in telecom operators and IT companies have.
The recommended list includes, in particular, specialties in physics and mathematics, chemistry and biology, as well as technical specialties and areas related to information technology and communications. In total, the deferment is provided for 195 specialties.
The list includes current specialties, which were approved by orders of the Ministry of Education and Science in 2013, and specialties “in which they were trained before.” The Ministry of Digital Development notes that a correspondence has been established between these specialties.
Earlier, the State Duma called on the Ministry of Education and Science to ensure equal rights for students of commercial and state universities to be exempted from partial mobilization.
On September 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on granting a deferment from conscription for military service for mobilization. According to the document, the deferment is granted to students studying full-time or part-time and receiving the first higher or secondary vocational education.
On September 23, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that IT, communications, media and finance specialists would not be involved in partial mobilization. The decision on this was made to ensure the operation of certain high-tech industries, as well as the financial system of the Russian Federation.
