The Russians, called up as part of the partial mobilization, arrived in the Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR). This was announced on October 3 by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
The Russian military department in its Telegram channel published footage of the meeting of the mobilized, who are being trained at one of the training grounds, with the local population of the republic.
“Residents of the LPR meet mobilized from Russia,” the Defense Ministry said in a commentary.
Earlier, it was reported that more than 150 residents of the Kaliningrad region, called up as part of partial mobilization, were sent to the training grounds of the Western Military District (ZVO) to undergo a training course and combat coordination.
During it, military personnel will master the skills of coordinated actions. In addition, they will hone their skills in handling standard weapons, including military equipment: tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers, artillery systems.
Earlier on Monday, the Ministry of Digital Transformation was asked to work out the issue of free communications for those mobilized during their service. As stated in the letter of the head of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs Yaroslav Nilov to the head of the department Maksut Shadayev, which Izvestia got acquainted with, the mobilized need help in providing additional SIM cards to local telecom operators that operate in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics (DNR and LNR), Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.
At the same time, the commander of a tank company advised the Russians called up from the reserve to participate in a special operation to protect the population of Donbass to remain calm and listen to every word of the instructors. The main thing is not to fuss and be calm, to know your business, the commander noted. The officer stressed that now the tank crews of the allied forces are firing at the positions of the Ukrainian military every day.
On October 1, the commander of the motorized rifle battalion, Alexander, spoke about the preparation of those mobilized to be sent to the combat zone. According to him, all instructors are career officers who will pass on the experience gained during the NWO to all those mobilized.
On September 30, the first building of the People’s Militia of the DPR also announced that the first mobilized Russians had arrived in the zone of the special operation. In total, 300 thousand people will be called up for partial mobilization.
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the start of partial mobilization on 21 September. According to him, this is necessary to protect the country, the territorial integrity of the state.
On February 24, Russia launched a special operation to protect Donbass. The decision was made against the backdrop of the aggravated situation in the region due to increased shelling by Ukrainian troops.
