Club Pachuca was the last Mexican team to qualify for the 2025 Club World Cup, after becoming champion of the Concacaf Champions Cup 2024 by winning by a 3-0 win over Columbus Crew of Major League Soccer and will be one of the three Mexican clubs to represent the Concacaf zone.
The Monterrey Football Club was the first Mexican team to get its ticket to the new Club World Cup by becoming champion of the 2021 edition of the Concacaf competition, while Club León became champion of the Concachampions in the 2023 edition.
It should be remembered that Concacaf still has one more ticket for the Club World Cup that will be awarded to the team that has the best position in the confederation classification, this being the case it would be for Club América, however, the Club World Cup regulations mention that yes There are already two qualified teams from the same country (Mexico), the last place awarded by the coefficient cannot be from that same league, so unfortunately for the two-time Mexican soccer champion they will not be able to attend this tournament.
