The mansion of former Deputy Defense Minister Ivanov was built illegally and may be demolished
The estate of former Deputy Defense Minister Timur Ivanov, who is in pretrial detention and is accused of taking a bribe of 1.185 billion rubles, is under threat of demolition. The mansion, located in the Tver region on the banks of the Volga, was declared an illegal construction.
According to Mash, the Kalyazinsky District administration has already prepared a claim for demolition and will soon send it to court. An expert assessment by the local state construction supervision agency was attached to it, which recorded the absence of appeals regarding the construction or reconstruction of individual housing construction facilities and permission to develop the land plot. As the source reports, the only solution in this case is to liquidate the illegal construction.

Almost 3,000 square meters of residential buildings may be subject to demolition
The area of the site itself makes up about eight hectares, and the residential area reaches 3,000 square meters. The territory also includes a spa complex, a swimming pool, servants’ houses and a helipad with a hangar.
Before this Mash pointed outthat Ivanov’s estate was built in secret for four years – the builders were brought in mainly from Tver for this purpose. All their gadgets were taken away from them and they were forbidden to disseminate information about their work, as well as communicate with local residents. For this purpose, non-disclosure agreements were concluded with them.
Thanks to such secrecy, Ivanov managed to conceal the fact of illegal construction in the forest. The entire territory was enclosed by a solid fence and surrounded by a pine forest. Signal suppression devices were located in the center.
The Ivanov estate was created in the image of the famous estate
The unfinished mansion of the former deputy minister was built in the image of the famous Znamenskoye-Rayek estate in the classical style. It is located in the Tver region and was built in the 18th century.

The land itself was acquired by a company associated with Ivanov, Volzhsky Bereg, founded by Deputy Minister Sergei Borodin, who was arrested in the criminal case. With the approval of local deputies, they changed the general plan, according to which development of the river bank was permitted.
It is specified that the price of the plot currently amounts to 200 million rubles.

The court confirmed Ivanov’s bribe using tax data. Now the former deputy minister of defense is asking to be released from the pretrial detention center due to his service references.
