Two managers of a fitness center were detained in Moscow for fraud with subscriptions
In Moscow, law enforcement officers detained two managers of a fitness center for fraud with subscriptions. Lenta.ru was informed about this by the regional department of the Investigative Committee of Russia (ICR).
Investigators opened a criminal case against the top managers under Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Fraud”). The issue of choosing a preventive measure is now being decided.
According to investigators, no later than January 14, employees of the Fitness City Etalon fitness center on Polyany Street sold more than 30 subscriptions worth more than 300 thousand rubles. In fact, the defendants did not plan to provide services, because on December 4, 2023, by a court decision, the lease agreement with the organization was terminated and the fitness center was subject to forced eviction.
Earlier, the Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia approved the indictment in the criminal case of ten leaders of the financial pyramid Finiko, accused of stealing 209 million rubles from citizens.
