Berlin – According to a recent Forsa survey, a clear majority of those eligible to vote would support the immediate resignation of Armin Laschet as CDU leader. 66 percent of those surveyed would therefore consider it right if Laschet gave up the post, as the RTL / ntv “trend barometer” published on Tuesday shows. The polling institute Forsa surveyed around 2500 people in October.
24 percent of the respondents and only 40 percent of the CDU and 23 percent of the CSU supporters think it is right that Laschet would initially like to remain party leader.
In the Sunday question, the Union still comes in at 20 percent, the SPD would vote 26 percent. As in the previous week, the Greens and FDP come to 16 and 14 percent respectively. The left could count on five percent, the AfD on nine percent. (dpa)
