The Madrid Cercanías network closed the year 2024 with a total of 1,014 incidents recorded on its lines by the Madrid Regional Transport Consortium (CRTM).
The most affected lines have been the C-4 (Parla-Cantoblanco and connection with Alcobendas-San Sebastián de los Reyes and with Colmenar Viejo), with 225 incidents, according to data collected by the CRTM.
Behind it are line C-3 (Aranjuez-Chamartín), with 164, C-8 (Guadalajara-Cercedilla), with 131, and C-5 (Móstoles-Humanes), which has suffered 104 incidents.
The most notable reasons have been breakdowns in rolling stock, with a total of 240 incidents, and those recorded in the facilities, with 433.
Among the most notable incidents, the derailment of a convoy without passengers on October 19 in the tunnel that connects the Atocha and Chamartín stations. Finally, the convoy was withdrawn on October 9.
