Two people died as a result of shelling of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) on Sunday evening, February 20. This was reported by the representative office of the LPR in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire (JCCC) in its Telegram-channel.
According to the agency, a total of nine shellings of settlements in the LPR were carried out with 120-millimeter shells, which are prohibited by the Minsk agreements. It is noted that a residential building in one of the gardening cooperatives was also destroyed. Information about the victims and damage is being specified.
Earlier, the People’s Militia of the LPR announced the wounding of three civilians as a result of shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. During the hostilities, a resident of the village of Prishib received a traumatic leg amputation, and two more residents of the village of Znamenka received shrapnel wounds, the police said. In addition, two residential buildings were damaged in these settlements, another one was destroyed.
