The Little Mermaid is one of Disney’s immortal classics that will also hit the big screen as a live action under the direction of Rob Marshall. Much has been speculated about the result, but it is not that long to see it on the big screen now that the filming has finished.
The protagonist Halle Bailey, new princess Ariel, shared a photo on her official Instagram account to report the end of recordings and dedicate a few words to the most important project of her career to date.
“After auditioning for this movie when I was 18 and about to turn 19 until I finished filming with a pandemic when I turned 21… We finally made it. I am so grateful to have experienced this movie in all its glory. It has been the most difficult experience, being away from everything, feeling doubts and loneliness, but also the freedom and perseverance that I have reached the end ”, he shared.
After these words, she stressed that her participation in the production made her much stronger than she ever thought she could be by referring to her training as an actress and the criticism she had to face for playing an originally Caucasian character.
“I can’t wait for time to speed up so that everyone can see this movie because it was made with a lot of love (in addition to blood sweat and tears),” he concluded after inviting all his followers to attend the premiere.
