The first candle blows out The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. The Nintendo Switch exclusive was released on May 12, 2023. Obviously Nintendo knows this well and has therefore decided to celebrate the birthday of the beloved game with a new one artwork published on social media.
As you can see below, the official Japanese The Legend of Zelda account published an image in which we can see Link grabbing Zelda from above as they fall from the sky. Link has a simple robe, just some rags and some leather belts, while Zelda wears her ancient costume, with short hair and various decorations.
The background shows us the bright sky, yellow from the sun flooding it, while towards the bottom we see the blue of the water and some mountains. We can also notice that, in the clouds, a series of are cut celestial islands, one of the new settings of The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.
Overall it’s a beautiful artwork which in a simple way manages to fully describe the experience of playing The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.
What is The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom?
If you are new to the Nintendo world or directly to the video game world, we remind you that The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is an open world action-adventure game. This is the sequel to Breath of the Wild and puts us back in the shoes of Link, the hero of the saga. After defeating Calamity Ganon in the first game, Link and Zelda journey into an even greater darkness and Hyrule (the world where the game is set) is shattered.
In addition to the open-air map, there is now also a underground world to explore as well as a series of flying islands full of secrets and rewards to earn. Zelda has also disappeared and we will have to figure out where she is while reuniting with old allies and meeting new ones. Link will have to fight, solve puzzles and exploit new powers to create combined weapons and create means of transport.
