Al Ain dominated the Professional League awards for the month of February, in the ADNOC Professional League, where Ukrainian Sergey Rebrov won the best coach award, Moroccan Sofiane Rahimi the best player, and Khaled Issa the best goalkeeper.
Moroccan Rahimi outperformed Argentine Guanka, his colleague in Al-Ain, who came second, as the competition was fiercest among the players. He also beat Al-Wahda duo, Syrian Omar Kharbin, who ranks second in the league’s top scorer, and Portuguese Adrian Silva, in addition to Federico Kartabia, Shabab Al-Ahly player.
Rahimi contributed to the superiority of Al Ain and its occupation of the lead, with his technical efforts last February. In total, Sufian scored 8 goals with the “leader” in all competitions, and made 7 goals, and is considered one of the most important keys to playing in his team’s squad.
As for the guards category, Khaled Issa managed to win the award for the best goalkeeper, after beating Adel Al Hosani, the Sharjah goalkeeper, who came second in the vote, and Muhammad Al Shamsi, the unit guard.
Al Ain coach, Sergey Rebrov, continued to win the best coach award, after outperforming Sharjah coach Olario Cosmin, and the French Gregory coach of Al Wahda. Al-Ain strengthened its position in the lead by 7 points from Al-Wahda.
While the voting process has witnessed a large public turnout to choose the winners, through the website and the application via smart phones, for the past 48 hours.
