The Last of Us Part I saw its player count increase by 1225% thanks to the inclusion in PlayStation Plus Extras. More precisely, it is the Truetrophies site that has detected an increase in Trophy hunters of that magnitude (Truetrophies monitors 3.1 million PSN accounts registered on it, so it is very reliable in the estimates it offers).
A great success
The Last of Us Part I was included in the October 2024 offer for subscribers to the Extra tier of PS Plus (it is actually available from September 26th). This is the third game of 2024 to debut in the extra bracket, beaten only by Dave the Diver (first) and The Plucky Squire (second).
