The farewell before traveling to the World Cup in Russia was at the Bombonera and against a lower-ranking rival like Haiti. The party was total and was thrashed 4-0. Lionel Messi scored a hat-trick and Agüero scored the remaining one.
Four. 10/08/2020: Argentina 1-0 Ecuador
Argentina debuted in these Qualifiers playing in the Bombonera and that is where their adventure will end. The first match was a 1-0 victory against Ecuador, in a match in which there was not a good performance, but the result was achieved. The goal? Lionel Messi scored again, although this time it was a penalty.
5. 11/12/2020: Argentina 1-1 Paraguay
The last game in the Bombonera was against Paraguay and it was a 1-1 draw. Ángel Romero scored the 1-0 penalty and Nicolás González tied it with a header. Then the team moved to other stadiums and will now return on the last date.
