The Kremlin said that the Russian Federation stands for good relations with the United States

Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that Russia is ready to cooperate with the new US administration.

“Russia has consistently and traditionally advocated good relations,” explained Peskov, speaking on the air on the TV channel “Russia 1“.

He added that the Russian side is ready to consider the Americans partners, but Washington perceives Moscow more as an adversary. According to him, the first statements of the White House against Russia are quite predictable.

The Kremlin spokesman stressed that the Russian Federation is flexible in interstate relations, but is not ready “for dictatorship, rudeness and crossing the red lines.”

Earlier, Peskov said that President Vladimir Putin remains committed to the development of relations between Russia and the United States, although this attitude has not been reciprocated overseas in recent years.
