“Russia cannot live in a closed circuit, Russia is a participant in international economic life. And tendencies in general on international markets, some kind of post-crisis volatility and so on, are just oppression for prices, ”said Peskov. He clarified that this process can be significantly amortized, but not a single country in the world can completely exclude it.
Earlier it became known that the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade sharply worsened the inflation forecast for 2021 in Russia. The department believes that it will rise to 7.4 percent instead of the previously expected 5.8 percent. According to the Ministry of Finance, sugar (plus 38.1 percent), sunflower oil (plus 27.3 percent) and eggs (plus 15.4 percent) went up the most of the products.
The head of the American food concern Kraft Heinz, Miguel Patricio, urged buyers around the world to come to terms with high food prices. He said that both the disruption in supply chains and the general recovery of the global economy, due to which production is now not keeping up with demand, are affecting the rise in value.
