Peskov said that long negotiations between Putin and Xi Jinping speak of their attitude
Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that the long negotiations between Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping testify to their attitude. This was announced by a representative of the Kremlin in an interview with Pavel Zarubin in the program “Moscow. Kremlin. Putin” on the channel “Russia 1”.
Peskov said that the negotiations between politicians dragged on unexpectedly. “But this speaks of the mood of the two leaders, of the trusting spirit and meaningfulness of their communication,” he added.
Xi Jinping arrived in Moscow on Monday, March 20. On the same day, he had an informal meeting with the Russian president, after which the head of China said that Beijing was ready to continue playing a constructive role in promoting a political settlement of the Ukrainian crisis.
On the afternoon of March 21, it was reported about the start of talks between Putin and Xi in the Catherine Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace as part of a small group. Then the leaders of the two countries from the Russian side were joined by vice-premiers, ministers of the economic bloc, heads of Rosatom and Rosneft.
