Peskov: officials must reach out to people and explain their work
Officials must reach out to people and explain their work to them. This was stated by Kremlin official representative Dmitry Peskov during a lecture on the “Time of Heroes” program; his words are quoted in Telegram– program channel.
“Everything you do is for people, but people need to tell about it. Sometimes this is a very difficult task, because the world of information is diverse,” said the press secretary of the head of state.
He said that people trust various sources of information and with their help make their first opinion about a given situation. The first impression, according to Peskov, is extremely important, but it may not come from the most truthful sources of information.
An official must know what he wants to convey to the public. The most valuable skill for him will be the ability to formulate his thoughts, Peskov is sure.
Previously, Peskov stated that Russian officials should speak more simply in public speeches and stop using bureaucratic language. According to the president’s press secretary, government officials often speak a “bird language” that is incomprehensible to the population.
