“In accordance with the agreement reached, the Russian delegation, consisting of representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defense and other departments, including the presidential administration, arrived in Belarus for negotiations with the Ukrainians,” the press secretary of the Russian president said.
According to him, the Russian side is already ready to start negotiations and will wait for representatives of Ukraine.
Prior to this, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his readiness to send a delegation to negotiate with Ukraine on the neutral status of the country. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the Ukrainian side offered to hold talks in Warsaw, but took a break and stopped communicating.
Later it became known that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky agreed to talks with Putin, and Kyiv began consultations with Moscow on the time and place of negotiations.
