With a master key that opens showcases, a band stole thousands of euros in jewels of the well -known Catalan brand; At least two of the suspects are in provisional prison
They denounce the theft of 400,000 euros in jewelry in Feriarte, in Ifema, for an organized group
With wig, sunglasses, fisherman hat and a master key that opens showcases, the Tous brand stores (the teddy bear adapted to all kinds of jewelry) were toured by stealing any wing they found in their path. Rings, earrings and watches were taken that Then they offered at half price in Wallapopan
The modus operandi was always the same: a defined role for each member of the band (while some entertained the dependents, others took the opportunity to take the loot), and always appeared not to be known. “With total tranquility and normality,” and the hands full-, they left after the establishments. Sometimes accompanied by a minor.
Thus, an alleged criminal group dedicated to crimes against heritage, specifically robberies with force in jewelry, perpetrated a dozen blows throughout Spain between 2023 and 2024. The subtracted jewels are still being tasted to be able to determine the value of the stolen items. Only in one blow they took 11,000 euros; in another, 8,140 euros and another, 4,800.
Truncated plans in May
They preferred to act on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, for the influx of people. And they had obsession with Tous. Or at least that is what the transcriptions of the messages they exchanged, collected in the police reports to which ABC access had. “Brother, I want to go to the (store) of the bear,” repeated one of the alleged members, which responds to the JH initials to what one of his collaborators replied: «Already, but that the bear (Tous) is hot, sister. I still have no bear ». They ended up going. On this occasion, to an establishment of the capital.
It is striking that from the same store located on the Gran Vía de Madrid took seven slope games of almost 5,000 euros and, only 15 days later, of the same establishment they stole another 35 pairs valued at more than double.

Although they didn’t always go well. In a Torrevieja Shopping Center (Alicante), in July 2023, the clerk of the establishment noticed that it was “something strange” and called the security guards who, in turn, called the Civil Guard and part of the group It was identified before they could get the jewels. One of them already had a police record for robberies strongly in religious centers.
In May 2024, his plans were also truncated by not being able to open, with the master key they used to carry, one of the drawers of a store located in the center of Alicante. The security cameras captured how two clients entered the establishment, “ceased in their efforts.”
They left the store, made time and tried again. It wasn’t his day. They went empty, but left a key test. And that the images recorded in the store did not safely know the identity of the assailants, but to make the following description: «Male with oriental traits and a woman of which you can barely see facial features since it covers their head with a fisherman hat ». The pattern was repeated. Although the message that one of Tous’s security responsible for the authorities was decisive: «Recently a jewelry has been detected on the Wallapop buying platform with the same reference as the bugged jewels. We have reasons to think that it is the same stolen jewels ».
It was then that the researchers began to track the movements of the user who put the ‘bears’ on the platform for sale. And when the company, at the request of the researchers, reported that the same profile had made 13 publications, all offering brand products. Behind him was a woman, who assured that the photos had reached a WhatsApp group. He believed, he said, it was replicas. At the moment there are two people in provisional prison.
