The Board of Directors of the new Karate Federation held its first meeting for the 2020-2024 session, headed by Major General “M” Nasser Abdul Razzaq Al-Razouki, President of the UAE and Asian Federations, and First Vice-President of the International Federation, during which the future plan of the game took place with the structuring of the special committees of the Federation.
The federation’s working committees were restructured, committee heads approved and positions distributed. Rashid Abdul Majeed Al Ali was chosen as vice president of the federation, head of the national teams committee, engineer Marwan Muhammad Sinkel as second deputy, engineer Hamid Shamis as secretary general of the federation, and Dr. Abdullah Al-Badi as secretary Assistant General, Chairman of the Governance and Strategic Planning Committee, and Muhammad Harbouk Al Shehhi as Financial Director, Dr. Hessa bin Haider as Chairman of the Women’s Committee, Ibrahim Al Nuaimi as Chairman of the Competitions Committee, Hisham Al Olama as Chairman of the Marketing and Investment Committee, Expert Muhammad Abbas as Chairman of the Technical Committee and Examinations Committee, and international referee Jaber Al Zaabi as Chairman of the Referees Committee.
International referee Ibrahim Al-Janahi, the former head of the referees committee, was appointed as an advisor to the committee, in appreciation of his efforts in previous years, and the continuation of the organization and security and safety committees in their tasks, and the creation of the discipline and appeal committees in accordance with the rules and regulations in force in the federation.
Major General Nasser Al-Razouki urged the heads of the committees to quickly form members of their committees to be approved to begin their duties during the coming period, while defining the tasks and duties.
During the meeting, Major General Al-Razouki discussed many important axes related to the game, as well as welcoming and introducing the members of the Council, and urged everyone to cooperate in order to complement the successes of the Board of Directors. to serve the union.
Al-Razouki explained many things related to karate, the difficulties facing the game, how to find solutions to them, expand the base of players and explore talents through local competitions.
Al-Razouki thanked the Dubai Sports Council for its continuous and permanent cooperation and support for the Karate World Championship, which was held last November 2021 in Dubai. Last February, His Excellency also affirmed the International Federation’s great confidence in the UAE’s organizational capabilities.
