22% of the militancy votes in the first twelve hours
The consultation that Junts has called among its militancy to decide whether or not to continue in the Catalan Government began this past midnight with some technical incidents and a high turnout, as reported by the nationalist formation. The telematic vote began at twelve at night and will continue until five in the afternoon tomorrow. The result is expected to be known immediately, provisionally, and the final and validated data will be communicated on Saturday.
About 6,500 militants have the right to vote. According to party sources, the consultation is developing “normally”. “There is no technical problem,” they have pointed out from the game. But yes there have been problems in the first hours. Specifically, from the organization of the consultation they have admitted “two moments of collapse.” One at midnight and another at eight in the morning as a “consequence of high participation.” “The technical problems have occurred in the vote of the national councilors and have already been resolved,” they pointed out in Junts. The nationalist formation celebrates two simultaneous consultations: the one that must decide the continuity in the Government and the election of the members of the national council.
The consultation is held electronically and voting in person is not possible. According to the organization, participation is high. In the first twelve hours (the voting process lasts 39), 22% of the militancy has already voted. The most immediate precedent of voting in the formation was that of the election of the president and the general secretary, last July. Turnout was 37% of the census. Technical problems are not new. Last September, Junts had to paralyze the election of territorial positions due to computer incidents.
