Name That Tune – Guess the song is back with The Jackal, Ciro Priello and Fabio Balsamo, still on the dashboard (from 25 January, every Wednesday, at 9.30pm). “This year we start with a different awareness than last year which was the first time to host a TV program”, recalls Ciro Priello to the microphones of Affaritaliani.it. The news? “There will be new games, a theme song sung and ballad that reminds us of the TV programs from when we were children and an even more strengthened and consolidated dynamic between Fabio and me”.
“A more intense self-deprecating spirit and two new games. Ciro sings and dances… ‘more Ciro’ in this new edition” – says Balsamo to Affari – “I teased him with a game, I told him ‘Bring your imitation skills too’: in the ‘Double Myth’ he imitates the voice of some singers, but on the songs of other performers”. About the famous and amusing imitations of Ciro Priello… “I’m not an imitator, I enjoy imitating”, he explains. “Imitation is something else”. And who among the singers do you enjoy imitating the most? “I was born and raised with Michael Jackson, that beautiful thin little voice… Then there are many, I tried to put as many interpreters as possible”. And Fabio Balsamo points out: “Then some contrasts are also very funny” Guy? Priello explains: “For example, how Giuliano Sangiorgi would have conceived a song by Cristina D’Avena. There is not only the original base and the voice of a different singer. You have to rearrange everything on how that singer would have conceived it”, says Ciro. “We got complicated”, says Fabio Balsamo laughing. The most difficult singer to imitate? “Sangiorgi is one of the most difficult, because he has octave leaps every now and then in a normal-voiced doublet”.

Name That Tune – Guess The Song returns to TV8 with The Jackal, Ciro Priello and Fabio Balsamo
They come back up TV8 the challenges to the sound of notes of Name That Tune – Guess The Songthe fierce musical competition between VIPs produced by Banijay Italia, in world premiere, from 25 January, every Wednesday, at 21.30.
At the conduction confirmed the couple composed by Ciro Priello and Fabio Balsamo of the artistic collective and of videomakers The Jackal, guarantee of sympathy and comedy. In this new edition, which enhances their characteristics even more, both will be the protagonists of one of the games that make up the race.
Name That Tune – Guess The Song, VIP guests
Two new games come to Name That Tune – Guess The Song and are added to those of the previous editions, enlivening the challenge between men and women. Two teams made up of four VIPs each, coming from the world of music, entertainment, sport and cinema, challenge each other to the last note to the sound of songs and music.
It’s off to a great start from the first episode, with Irene Grandi, Asia Argento, Benedetta Parodi and Vladimir Luxuria throwing down the gauntlet to Nicola Savino, Morgan, Fabio Caressa and Angelo Pisani. Each team has a team leader, who in case of victory, returns the next bet, redeploying his team.
Name That Tune – Guess The Song, games
The engines warm up with Playlist, in which both teams participate to win the first joker up for grabs. The studio band performs a song and the first team to book has the right to answer. In case of a mistake, the game passes to the opposing team. One of the proposed playlists is selected by Radio Deejay, the program’s media partner.
The second game, Headphonesinstead reveals the understanding between the members of each team: three of them must in fact mimic the title of the song, performed by the band in the studio, to make their partner guess.
In the Double Myth, the second new game of this edition, Ciro Priello imitates the voice of a famous performer, singing the song of another singer. The team that registers must first guess the name of who is imitating Ciro and then the title of the song. Only whoever guesses the double combination gets the joker.
Later in the Lip Sync Duel, the protagonist is one competitor per team, who must sing in playback, also imitating the movements and choreography of the video clip of the artist being interpreted. The winner is decided by the unquestionable vote of the public.
In the Forgetful Singer, a brand new game, three artists take turns on stage, singing their hit hit live. During their performance, however, they purposely get a line wrong. The music stops and the teams are asked to guess the correct text. Once the verse is revealed, the song continues and the singer ends his performance.
In the song recited Fabio Balsamo, pretending to be an engaged actor, recites the text of a well-known song. The teams have to figure out which song it is. If the answer is correct the team wins a point, otherwise the game passes to the opposing team.
The crescendo of the race leads to theMusic Auctionin which the whole team participates, to guess with a few notes, or even just one, the eight songs that are hidden behind a clue, often very sibylline.
Name That Tune – Guess The Song, the Seven for thirty
Finally, as per tradition, the race ends with the highly anticipated Seven times Thirty, the challenge of challenges. Thirty are the seconds available to a competitor per team to guess the seven proposed pieces. The chosen competitor decides the fate of the challenge, and can make use of the help of his companions, playing the jokers earned by the team throughout the competition.
