NVIDIA is currently presenting its next generation of graphics cards at its event GeForce Beyond. However, this conference also leaves room for several surprises that take advantage of the company’s latest technologies to modernize experiences, and this includes an unexpected ray traced remastering of the iconic Portal.
Portal with RTX will be released in November and will be free for owners of the original gameAs explained in the presentation, this version known as ‘Portal with RTX‘ will act as a DLC that will improve the textures of the original installment through technology omniverse from NVIDIA. If you want to enjoy this remastered adventure, you will be happy to know that the conference confirms a release for november plus, will be free for all Portal owners.
Portal with RTX will be one of the many games that will incorporate the new version of NVIDIA DLSS 3though this amazing DLC will also leverage other company technologies to deliver a fresh experience: “Built on NVIDIA RTX Remix and powered by the GeForce RTX 40 lineup, Portal with RTX reimagines the classic game’s graphics with full Ray Tracing and art completely new and evocative of the original ”, reads the description of the trailer on YouTube.
