IAEA: those responsible for the attacks on Zaporizhia NPP ignore calls to prevent a nuclear accident
Those behind the latest attacks on the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) are ignoring calls from the international community to prevent a nuclear accident, said the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi. Writes about this TASS.
According to him, the world community calls on “to show utmost military restraint and prevent a nuclear accident, the threat of which is very real.” Grossi clarified that those responsible for the attacks on Zaporizhia NPP ignore these calls.
He noted that the situation could change for the worse at any moment. Direct evidence is the hit on the dome of the station’s power unit on April 7, he added.
Earlier it was reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) attacked the Zaporizhia NPP. Three employees were injured.
