Szijjarto admitted the possibility of a third world war or the division of the world into blocs
Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto has admitted the possibility of a third world war or the division of the world into blocs. The diplomat spoke about the risks while speaking in New York at the Summit of the Future, writes TASS.
“The risk of a third world war is becoming increasingly serious, or else everything is moving towards an era when the world will again be divided into blocs,” he stressed.
According to the minister, Hungary suffered greatly in the past due to division into blocs. In this regard, Budapest wants the next decades to be characterized by interconnectedness of countries and fair international cooperation, Szijjártó summed up.
Earlier, a Hungarian diplomat said that politicians and countries that are willing to work to achieve peace in Ukraine are being attacked.
In early September, Peter Szijjarto said that Hungary had planned to give its share of the money from the European Peace Fund for the defense of Chad instead of Ukraine. According to the minister, the country’s government initiated the allocation of 14 billion by the European Union for the development of the defense potential of the African state.
